Nashville Baby

Besides the unbelievable time riding in the mountains, we were all ready for some down time. I took the guys downtown Nashville and showed them around. I have been here once by this time so I knew my way around pretty well. I think Adam and Josh really likes listening to all of the good country music. We all bought cowboy boots down in Nashville too.

Blue Ridge

While Adam and I were heading to my moms in TN, Josh continued to ride more from our stay in NC. He couldn't leave without riding the Blue Ridge. This road was built on the side of the Mountains because the tribe didn't want the engineers to blast the mountain.

After the Dragon

What a beautiful sight...the Smokey Mountains! Adam and I hiked a mile to get to see this sight! It was amazing!

Here are the men at Deals Gap Resort. This is the start of the Tail of the Dragon. 318 turns in 11 miles...what a rush. Adam is standing by the Tree of Shame. This tree is made up of parts from bikes/vehicles that have been so called "Bitten by the Dragon."

Robinsville, NC

This is our house/cabin that we rented out for a couple of days.
We met up with a couple from FL and a couple from NJ. There
were five of us from MN.

Trip to Tennessee

We started our journey by leaving in the afternoon and heading down to IL to meet up with the rest of the crew.

6 days tell the start of our Advantures to the South

A couple of weeks ago Kristen and I went camping on our motorcycles. We wanted to make sure we would be able to fit enough equipment on our bikes for the ride down to Tennessee.

Rand McNally

Well today I went out and picked up the Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary edition of the Rand McNally Ride Atlas. So now we can sit down and start the planning process. Allot of people will say why not just use the internet? Well you can't always bring the internet with you. It is always good to have a hard copy of what you have planned. So Kristen and I will sit down and look through this to plan out our trip. I will have to say we have been tossing around the idea of ridding south to Knoxville so we can ride the Dragon. The reason we have been thinking about this is because Kristen's Mom just got a job in Nashville and will be moving down there in the next few weeks. It would be nice to see their new place and help them settle in . So we might have to re-name this page to something that pertains more to the ride that we plan.

The Planning Process

Like I said on our other page we will be documenting the whole processes we go through just like a digital journal. I am really excited for this trip, Kristen and I have been married for two and half years and we have already been through allot together. This however is our first actual adventure; two weeks of whatever we want to do. We do not have to catch a flight somewhere to get to some place at some time. We can jump on our bikes whenever we want and head in whatever direction we feel like. It is almost like being an old time cowboy or something. I have configured my Blackberry to directly upload pictures and text to this page. So in July when we leave we will be able to take pictures and update our blog while we go through our advencher.
